This breakout session will discuss protocol feasibility (how to find the protocols that fit your site and how to successfully be competitive). This session provides tools to help you evaluate a protocol and decide if the protocol is right for your site. C. Financing Your Clinical Research Learn alternative ways to improve your site's cash flow and have growth opportunities during your clinical trials. Understand, recognize and better manage the costs assoicated with conducting clinical research. 4:05pm Closing Remarks SpeakersDavid Jacobs, M.D., M.B.A.Dr. Jacobs is a board certified physician specializing in internal medicine, (American Board of Internal Medicine) and is licensed to practice in New York State and New Jersey. Dr. Jacobs has held varying management positions at Johnson & Johnson Pharmaceutical Research Development, Inc; and NPS Pharmaceuticals. At Johnson & Johnson, Dr. Jacobs as director of clinical research led successful registration development programs with the neuromodulatory drug Topiramate, for epilepsy monotherapy and migraine prophylaxis indications, respectively. At NPS Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Jacobs, led the clinical development of Isovaleramide, a novel neuromodulator for the epilepsy and migraine indications. Dr. Jacobs also led the clinical development efforts for Teduglutide, potentially indicated for treatment in patients with Adult Short Bowel Syndrome and Crohn's Disease. At NPS, Dr. Jacobs was the NPS clinical lead for the steering committee chartered to oversee the development of the above compound. This developmental program was a joint collaboration between NPS and Astra Zeneca Inc. Finally, Dr. Jacobs holds an MBA in Finance from Fairleigh-Dickinson University Graduate School of Management located in Madison, New Jersey. Larry Hughes, CPAMr. Hughes has over a decade of experience within the financial industry in which he has been assisting others with their financial goals He is driven to increase the awareness that more individuals need to establish financial plans. He has worked within Smith Barney as an Assistant Vice President within their insurance group and later became the Director of Variable Products for the independent brokerage division of MetLife. He is currently a financial planner working with Daniels Financial Services, Inc who offers brokerage services through American Portfolios Financial Services, Inc.
